Why I do what I do?
“As a small child, I saw the transformation of dentistry in my mother. She went through reconstructive jaw surgery and her pain level significantly decreased. Since that experience and my childhood dentist urging me to pursue the art of dentistry, I decided in college to follow my heart and chose dental school over medical school.”
Personal Life
Dr. Jeremiah lives in Athens with his wife, Ashley and four children, Elisabeth, Lance,Lucy Brooke and Lynley Grace. They enjoy their time together as a family whether hunting, swimming, taking trips or just playing at home.

“With support and encouragement from my parents, I made a decision in High School to become a dentist. It was the right decision. I enjoy getting to know my patients and spending time with them. Their dental health is of great importance to me and it is a privilege to be able to give them the best care possible.”

Dr. Hood lives in Athens, AL. He enjoys Alabama football games, fishing and spending time on the lake.
